Trauma Therapy
Do you ever feel overwhelmed by a traumatic experience? Do you feel stuck in the past, and wonder why you "can't get over it"? If so, you're not alone. PTSD can make us feel isolated or trapped, but it doesn't have to stay that way. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Observational Experiential Integration (OEI) are two different evidence based therapeutic processes that can help reduce symptoms, restore a sense of control, and help you feel like yourself again.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and OEI (Observational Experiencing Integration) helps people process their trauma, reduce symptoms, and view themselves in a more positive light.

Why EMDR or OEI?
Both of these modalities help with several issues, are evidence based, and you don't have to go in depth about your traumatic experience. This isn't about discussing your trauma in great detail, and reliving it again. This is about processing the events by activating your brain, and actually healing from your trauma.

Traumatic memories can make us feel stuck, overwhelmed, or frozen in time. This makes us feel like we're reliving our traumatic events all over again. However, EMDR and OEI allows up to process these events in a way that is safe without rehashing all the details. EMDR and OEI also activates both sides of the brain so the memories are reorganized in a way that keeps the memories in the past, and us in the present moment.

Clients report feeling grounded in the present, less reactive to their triggers, and more confident. Trauma loses its emotional weight, and people are able to regain control of their lives again. Don't let your trauma continue to dictate your life. Let's get started on helping you feel like yourself again.
